District Geography
The Dixie District supports chapters and quartets in Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Eastern Arkansas.
History
The Dixie District was originally formed in 1948. In 1958, the state of Florida left Dixie to become its own district, the Sunshine District. As of July 1, 2010, the states of North and South Carolina have officially left Dixie to become the Carolinas District.
Chapters
All chapters in Dixie are designated with a chapter code beginning with the letter "B", as assigned by the BHS.

Divisions
At present, there are no divisions within the district.
Contests
- Spring Convention - competition for District Chorus Champion, College Quartet Champion and qualifiers for International College Quartet Championship, and quartets qualifying for International competition
- Fall Convention - competition for International Chorus representatives, District Quartet Champion, Seniors Quartet Champion and Senior qualifiers to Mid-Winter Convention
