The Dixie District supports chapters and quartets in Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Eastern Arkansas.
The Dixie District was originally formed in 1948. In 1958, the state of Florida left Dixie to become its own district, the Sunshine District. As of July 1, 2010, the states of North and South Carolina have officially left Dixie to become the Carolinas District.
All chapters in Dixie are designated with a chapter code beginning with the letter "B", as assigned by the BHS.
