Dixie District

District Geography

The Southeastern Harmony District supports chapters and quartets in Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Eastern Arkansas.

History

The Southeastern Harmony District was originally formed in 1948, as the Dixie District. In 1958, the state of Florida left Dixie to become its own district, the Sunshine District. As of July 1, 2010, the states of North and South Carolina have officially left Dixie to become the Carolinas District. In March 2024, the district voted to change the name of the district to its current name, Southeastern Harmony District.

All chapters in SHD are designated with a chapter code beginning with the letter "B", as assigned by the BHS.
