Pippa started conducting at school, where she also arranged close-harmony for a female quartet of ex-choristers from Salisbury Cathedral. She discovered barbershop in her first year of studying music at the University of Manchester, and after becoming the first female student conductor at the University in her second year, started up a female barbershop chorus, Ultraviolet. Pippa joined forces with the Manchester University Barbershop Chorus (MUBC) and Tagline to found the Manchester University Barbershop Singers (MUBS).
After graduation, Pippa moved to London and began directing Capital Chorus in February 2015, and was appointed Finance Director of BABS in January 2018. She continued on with Capital Chorus until August 2019, when she retired as musical director to pursue her goal of introducing barbershop to more young people within the UK. She heads up the BABS Fusion team, who run the male and mixed Fusion choruses as well as other initiatives.
Pippa was appointed musical director of the LABBS 18+ competition chorus in November 2019.
