The National Barbershop Youth Chorus is a group of young men between the ages of 10 and 25.

History

They first met, and performed, in Harmony College in August, 2005.

They performed in the BABS 2006 Convention in Harrogate, both on the Friday night show and as contest mike warmers. Their first 'external' gig came shortly after this, at a gala dinner held by the Mentor Foundation. This prestigious event was hosted by Her Majesty the Queen of Sweden, and was held at the Natural History Museum, with the NBYC on hand to entertain the 300 guests as they arrived before the dinner.

The NBYC competed in the Manchester Amateur Choral Competition in 2009, coming fourth place.

Due to the wide dispersal of its members, rehearsals are limited, and often take place where there is something else going on.
