The Irish Association of Barbershop Singers (IABS) is the organisation which promotes the tradition of barbershop singing in Ireland. IABS was founded in Birr County Offaly in 1988 and the first Irish Barbershop Convention was held in the Marian Hall in Birr in 1989.

The Wellesley Cup is presented to the National Quartet Champions each year, and was donated to IABS at the first convention by Sound Assembly Chorus of Wellesley, Massachusetts.
